A harsh natural environment, rapid urbanization and a warming climate combine to put increasing pressure on the environment of the Gulf Coast Countries. As a result, the region faces a number of environmental challenges, including ensuring water security, improving air quality, and protecting marine resources. We propose here to gather regional, academic, and governmental experts to discuss how to address these challenges.
